Year 1947 – 48
The Hindusthan Group came into existence with its first Points & Crossings plant at Tiljala, West Bengal under Hindusthan Engineering Industries Ltd. (HEIL).
Year 1959 – 60
Hindusthan Vidyut Products Ltd. (HVPL) was incorporated in the name of The Indian aluminum Cables Ltd which started production of AAC/ACSR Conductors at its works at Ghaziabad (U.P.) and Faridabad (Haryana).
Year 1982 – 83
Switch Expansion Joints introduced for the Indian Railways.
HVPL became the first company in India to import 152 mm Extruder from "Mallifer Finland".
Year 1984 – 85
Foundry commenced operations at Bamunari, near Kolkata in West Bengal. This was the first company in India to manufacture CMS crossings indigenously.
Year 1987- 88
As a part of our CSR initiative, The Group started an educational institution (exclusively for women) at Lakshmangarh in Rajasthan. Now a full-fledged university, it awards degrees upto PhD to the meritorious female students hailing from across the country.
Year 1990-91
HVPL Developed the AACSR Conductor.
Year 1991-92
HEIL became the first Indian company to receive order for Turnouts from Africa and from Malaysian Railway.
Year 1998-99
HEIL introduced Low Height Container Flat wagons under World Bank project for Indian Railways becoming the First Indian Company to export Side Frames and Bolsters to Australia & South Korea.
Year 2000-01
HVPL took over a unit manufacturing all types of insulators with the name of ‘Insulators & Electricals Company’ Mandideep, Distt. Raisen (M.P.)
Year 2001- 02
HEIL became the First Indian Company to produce Obtuse Crossings.
Year 2003-04
HVPL expanded its cable division at Faridabad by installation of CCV line to manufacture HT XLPE Power Cables.
Year 2005- 06
HVPL installed shaftless stranding (20+24+32) machine running at 250 rpm from "BAGGAR Denmark" and still remains the only company in India to have this machine.
Year 2010-11
HVPL executed largest single order of 11 KV 3C x 400 Sq mm of 418 Km from BESCOM, Bangalore.
Year 2012-13
HVPL successfully commenced production at its new conductor plant setup at Guwahati Commissioned its First Solar plant with parabolic mirrors for process heating.
HEIL established a technical tie-up with European company for the manufacturing of Weldable CMS Crossing.
Year 2014-15
All variants of HTLS/HPC conductor (AL-59, GAP-Type, ACSS, TACSR, STACIR-Invar, HVCRC-Composite carbon core, DULL conductor) developed and type tested.
Year 2015-16
HUIL successfully commenced conductor & Aluminium wire rod production for Domestic & Export Markets at its state-of-the-art new facility in Khurda, Odisha.
First HTLS-composite carbon core conductor order was successfully manufactured and exported to South Africa and ACSS to Domestic market.
HSCL successfully started production of Epoxy-formulated products.
Year 2016- 17
Successfully implemented SAP.
